MALTON and Old Malton Cricket Club's junior division will be sponsored by leading homebuilder Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire next season.
The club, which is located in the heart of Malton close to Taylor Wimpey’s Broughton Manor development, will be investing in brand new shirts for the players with the help of a £500 cash boost.
Club treasurer Joy Hudson said: “There are a lot of costs involved in running a club of this size and level - with nearly 80 members in the junior section alone - so we always welcome new sponsors.
“We are delighted to have Taylor Wimpey on board. The new shirts look fantastic so, fingers crossed, they bring us some luck for the season ahead.”
Malton and Old Malton is one of the largest clubs in the area and England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Clubmark accredited. The club has teams playing at all levels including four senior teams and a thriving junior section.
Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “We are thrilled to start this new partnership with the club and to be supporting such a fantastic organisation. We are always looking to give back to the local community and, with one of our developments nearby, we were only too happy to help.”
