MALTON & Norton Under-13s resisted a strong Roundhegians’ fightback to record a 43-22 victory.
The young Gannock side fell 5-0 behind but led 17-5 at the break thanks to tries from Fabian Marras and two scores from Josh Britton.
Roundhegians came back to level at 17-17 but Malton replied well with James Boyes running in from 25 yards. Marras scored his second try, from a free kick, and the try of the day came from Peter Hudson.
Charlie Blackburn added a seventh try, though Roudhegians scored a consolation before the final whistle.
