YOUNG footballers have been given a boost with new kits sponsored by local businesses.
Brooklyn U7s Lions and Tigers are based at Malton Community Sports Centre.
The aim of Brooklyn Football Club is to help development of the players as well as having lots of fun and building friendships.
The U7s now have new kits, sponsored by Grayson Fire Ltd, a Malton-based business which specialises in fire detection systems and emergency lighting in commercial premises along with Varey Fit Personal Training.
Ollie Varey, a personal trainer and owner of Varey Fit Personal Training said: "I have been doing this for three years and I’ve loved every minute of it. Seeing people progress and get fitter and healthier is a wonderful feeling, plus seeing people feel the benefits and being happier than overall makes the job so worthwhile.
"I offered to sponsor Brooklyn juniors as I was once a junior at Brooklyn and it is a brilliant set up and local football club. The people that volunteer all work tirelessly and devote themselves to help all the children involved progress and learn not just about football but social skills and life skills. I know people have sponsors and helped with their services back when I was a kid and having the chance to give back is the least I can do."
