AFTER undergoing months of talks, Malton and Norton RUFC and Malton School have confirmed the launch of the Malton Rugby Academy.
In a bid to help aid youngsters in their development academically and in rugby, Malton and Norton RUFC and Malton School have joined forces to help pave the way in the community.
From September, enrolled students can be part of an extended rugby pathway that Malton rugby club and Malton School will provide.
Sports leaders, A-level and B-tech students in the sixth form can all enrol within the rugby academy.
Russell Stead, Club Chair, told the Gazette & Herald: “We are delighted to have finally got this over the line and the club looks forward to working in partnership with Malton Community School and the New Rugby Academy.
“I’m sure the students will benefit from being involved in the Academy and what it will offer for their own personnel academic and sporting development.
“Both the School and the Club look forward to the next stage of appointing an Academy Director over the next couple of months.”
Email maltonrugby@outlook.com for more information concerning the role of Academy Director and a job description.
Please note the closing date for applications is Monday, June 17.
Richard John, the rugby club’s new Director of Rugby, looks forward to the future and applications for the above role.
