WILL EASTERBY recorded a double at the weekend's West Of Yore Point-to-Point meeting at Askham Bryan College.
The jockey rode Black River and Absainte - both running for the second time within a week - to victory in fantastic weather and ground conditions.
One jockey who got himself back on the scoresheet after a spell out of the saddle was Jack Jordan, who partnered the Jack Teal-trained Shepherd's Cave to victory in the three-mile Open Maiden.
Returning jockey Emma Todd also got back to winning ways after missing the earlier part of the season through a shoulder operation. Aboard the Lady Susan Watson-trained Robin's Legend, Todd gained her 50th career success.
The Intermediate went the way of the Robin Tate-trained Absainte under Easterby. The pair took the Restricted race at Brocklesby Park the weekend previously in similarly decisive fashion.
Easterby's second winner was in the the Confined Hunts Race aboard his own Black River, who turned out again after winning the Members race the Sunday previously.
Dark Mahler claimed the Mixed Open, which attracted only four runners.
The Restricted was a low-key event that went the way of the Andrew Nicholls-trained and Will Milburn-ridden Not Far Wrong, who never came out of a hack canter and sauntered clear to win before easing down.
