LIBRARIES in Ryedale are joining in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations by holding some Royal-themed family craft and story-telling sessions.
County Coun Chris Metcalfe, executive member for schools, said: “The Diamond Jubilee is a great occasion for communities to come together and libraries are more than ready to play their part by helping families enjoy the spirit of the occasion.”
Malton library will hold a Jubilee-themed story time and crafts session for under-fives on Wednesday, 2.15pm-3pm. On Friday from 11am-noon there will be a design a coat of arms craft session for five-11-year-olds. For further details phone 0845 034 9529.
Helmsley library staff will read stories with a royal theme and make crafts next Thursday, 11am-noon. Just turn up and join in the fun. For further details phone 0845 034 9527.
Pickering library has a Jubilee event next Thursday, 2pm-3pm, when children aged four-10 are invited to make their own coat of arms. Phone 0845 300 5157.
