Norton skateboarder Ryan Swain is preparing to take to the streets to raise funds for Louby’s Lifeline.
Ryan is aiming to skate 50 miles from Malton to Scarborough and back, in just 12 hours this weekend. He hopes to raise more than £2,000.
He said: “I am extremely excited about taking on the challenge and also feeling rather emotional.”
Ryan will set off from the King’s Head pub in Market Place, Malton, at 8.45am on Saturday. Sponsor forms are available at various shops in Norton and Malton.
Laura, 18, known as Louby, passed away at her home in Malton on February 29, following a 10-month battle with two aggressive brain tumours.
Ryan will also be entertaining customers at Grade One hair and beauty salon in Railway Street, Malton, on Friday, May 11, 9am-5pm, during an open day in aid of Louby’s Lifeline.
