A MAGICAL opportunity for children is coming to The Grand Opera House.
The Magic Hatter’s School Of Magic, created by Dan Wood, will provide youngsters with lessons on everything from the performance and history of magic, to writing routines, sleight of hand and stage presence.
Celestine Dubruel, of the Opera House, said: “Dan is a great teacher and it must be lovely to be taught by someone so talented”.
She said with the success of magic genre films and Harry Potter books, today’s kids were even more fascinated by magic, and this particular club provided something different to both boys and girls from other clubs run by the theatre.
As well as teaching magic, the club hopes to improve everyday skills such as hand-eye coordination, teamwork, commitment and to also provide children with greater self-esteem and confidence. The school will run for ten from January 26.
