THANKS to the generous fundraising and donations of Gazette & Herald readers The Pulse Appeal total has now topped £2,000.
Malton Freemasons have made the latest donation of £250 bringing the grand total raised so far to £2,244.90.
A further fundraising event takes place this Sunday at Muffins Playbarn in Railway Street, Malton.
Friends Zeba Ward, Emma Canswick, Kate Smith and Muffins owner Gail Landore have organised a coffee morning along with luxury auction and raffle.
Zeba, who lives in Foston, said: “I heard about the appeal and was looking for a fundraising event to support so I thought I would try and raise money with something different.”
The event takes place from 10am- noon and admission is £3.50 to include coffee and cake.
Items up for grabs in the luxury auction include:
* half a day at Middlethorpe Hall’s five star spa for two people with spa treatments and coffee on the terrace
* a facial at the Feversham Arms Hotel’s Verbena Spa in Helmsley
* a meal for two at Living Room, York
* a car valet
* a day pass to Castle Howard
* a meal for two at Tui’s in Malton
* Chanel sunglasses
* Pampered Chef kitchenware
* a meal for two at the Thai House in Malton
* a haircut by Sam, mobile hairdresser
Raffle prizes include:
* Champagne and four glasses
* Jamie Oliver cook book
* potted orchid plants
* scented candles
* Jamie Oliver candle holders
* kitchenware
* Chanel nail varnish and manicure oil
* Belgian chocolates
