TOP pop act Pulp are to play a major open air concert next June in the spectacular surroundings of Dalby Forest, near Pickering, North Yorkshire.
Presented by the Forestry Commission by arrangement with Helterskelter, the show is included in a five date tour of UK forests.
Pulp's Dalby date is Saturday, June 22. Tickets are now on sale and given the sell-out success of the group's recent tour are expected to be in great demand.
They can be booked through the Forestry Commission ticket and information hotline on (01842) 814612 (10am-5pm) or online www.wayahead.com or through the telephone credit card hotline on (0115) 9129130 (24 hours). Tickets are priced from £21.
The Forestry Commission is also negotiating with Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Band to help make it a blockbusting June weekend in Dalby. Full details are to be announced later.
Last summer's inaugural concerts in the forest, which featured both Jools and The Levellers, attracted more than 5,500 people.
