Leaders Rosedale would have considered a draw at home to lowly Sinnington as two dropped points before the game last Saturday. But in the end, they were probably glad for a point as they needed a last-minute equaliser to draw 3-3 with the Sinners.
Rosedale were stunned as the visitors took a first-half lead through Bobby Brewer. In the second half, Rosedale hit back and went ahead, thanks to a brace from Chris James. The Sinners stormed back when a long throw by Mark Smith found Gary Mitchell, and as he challenged a Rosedale defender, the ball flew into the goal. Mitchell claimed it but the majority verdict was an own goal.
The Sinners took the lead when Jo Turnbull crowned an outstanding performance with a goal. With Sinnington dreaming of a shock win, Rosedale's John Tindal equalised in the dying stages. Man of the match winners were Chris James (Rosedale) and Malcolm Hunter (Sinnington).
Black Swan, Pickering, are still second after a 1-1 draw at Union Rovers, who moved up to fifth spot. Paul Holder scored for Union Rovers in the first half with an unstoppable 30-yard shot on the half-hour mark, a contender for goal of the season no less. Swan had their chances to draw level but poor finishing and good 'keeping by Andy Haires kept them at bay. Midway through the second half, Swan drew level through a soft goal from a corner. Paul Holder was the Rovers' man of the match.
Strengthened Kirkbymoorside reserves beat struggling Ampleforth 5-2 at home to go third. Alex Strickland scored a hat-trick, with a goal each from Simon Brackley and Andrew Wilkinson. David Smith was the Moorsiders' man of the match.
Old Malton thirds stunned Slingsby as they were good value for their 3-0 away win. The Old Malton marksmen were Jamie Dawson, Paul Milner and Stuart Clarkson. Andy Bingham was the Slingsby man of the match.

thornton-le-Dale dropped two points at Pickering Royal Oak, drawing 1-1. Dale did have four players missing from their regular line-up. They started badly as Lee Allardice put Oak ahead after eight minutes. Two minutes later, Dale's Jonathan Scoble was brought down, but Mike Lealman missed the resulting penalty. They did equalise after 14 minutes through Tony Wootton. Man of the match winners were Darren Kendrew (Thornton-le-Dale) and Matthew Peddar (Royal Oak).
Team-of-the-moment Heslerton reserves leapfrogged Coxwold into fourth, after beating them 6-2. Heslerton were 3-1 up at half-time, thanks to two from Danny Cass and a great strike from Dave Hornby. Eddie Myers was on target for Coxwold. In the second half, Cass completed his hat-trick, Hornby grabbed a second and Jay Smith scored. Jason Sargeant scored for Coxwold. Man of the match winners were Chris Everingham (Coxwold) and Danny Cass (Heslerton).
Ryedale Hospital Cup round two
Aislaby United won 5-0 at Ryedale SC reserves as man of the match Colin Frank grabbed a hat-trick and Kenny Temple got a couple. Ryedale had Steve Walker sent off.
