Scarborough and District FA Junior Cup third round

Filey Town reserves from the second division of the Scarborough and District League were no match for current Beckett League champions Black Swan, Pickering, who were convincing 3-0 winners.

Swan's Rob Kerr and Paul Mann hit the woodwork before they went in front with a great goal from man of the match Rob Beever. Simon Dale increased their lead before half-time. Swan sealed victory when Rob Kerr scored four minutes from tie.

Rillington swept Thornton-le-Dale away, winning 4-0 at home with all four coming from leading marksman Phil Horton.

Aislaby United were unlucky to lose 5-3 at FC Aberdeen. They shocked their hosts by taking the lead through Simon King before Lee Cappleman scored twice to put Aberdeen ahead. Colin Frank equalised for Aislaby after impressive work by Kian Brewster. Mark Welford and Lee Cappleman (gaining his hat-trick) restored Aberdeen's two-goal lead before an own goal put United back in it. Jason Prosser scored Aberdeen's fifth to book their quarter-final place. Mark Harland was Aislaby's man of the match.

Kirkdale United were well beaten at home by Edgehill reserves 5-1, for whom Martyn Ferrey scored four. Martin Charlton scored for Kirkdale.

Lealholm had an impressive 2-1 win at FC Rosette and Ayton beat McCains 2-0, thanks to goals from Glenn Thornton and Daz White. Forge Hotel lost 2-1 at home to Whitby Albion. Jeff Swales and John Simpson scored for Albion, Steve Jay-Hammer scoring for the home side.

Kirkbymoorside drew 2-2 at Filey Town in the second round of the Harbour Cup. John Broadley scored twice to put Filey in a commanding position but Kirkby stormed back with a goal each from Richard Bayes and Alex Strickland to force a replay.
