WEST Heslerton C E Primary School "successfully provides a happy and caring learning environment and values all its pupils".
This was OFSTED's view after inspecting the school last July. As well as this, the report lists good test results, the pupil's behaviour, opportunities for pupils to develop morally and socially and good links with parents and the community as strengths.
Along with OFSTED, inspectors from the Diocese of York visited the school for a religious inspection.
In their report, the school was again praised for a number of things, including the pupils' moral and social development and the relationship between all the school community and the church and the "marvellous spirit that shines throughout the school".
"Both reports always give areas for improvement. These include using music to introduce assembly, reviewing the Collective Worship Policy and developing Assessment and Recording within the school," added head teacher Rachel Wells.
