CASTLE Howard is delighted to be able to offer Gazette & Herald readers a special discounted rate on its grounds and gardens season tickets.
Set in 1,000 spectacular acres of parkland, lawns, woodland gardens, adventure playground, lakes and fountains, Castle Howard remains a wonderful place for a day out that many want to repeat again and again.
Whether it's to escape to the peace and tranquillity, experience the changing seasons, to let the children enjoy the adventure playground and endless freedom or just to walk the dog, Castle Howard has something for everyone.
The special events programme is always eagerly anticipated and this year is no exception. A season ticket holder can enjoy access into 12 events free of charge (expect outdoor evening concerts/productions) ranging from Peter Rabbit at Easter, Jubilee Celebrations, Jazz, Summer Swing Time and Porsche in the Park.
New attractions for 2002 include introducing 'people from the past' an opportunity to meet some of the historical characters that have made Castle Howard the very special place that it is today - you never know who or what you may see next time you visit the gardens!
There are many added benefits for Castle Howard season ticket holders.
Not only do they receive unlimited access into the grounds and garden (conditions apply) but also a host of other valuable enhancements including:
