NIMBLE pupils at a Ryedale school have vaulted their way to success in an area schools gymnastics competition.
Athletes from Lady Lumley's School, Pickering, were junior team champions at the event, held in Scarborough's Pindar Leisure Centre.
They beat off fierce competition from more than 200 pupils taking part in the competition.
Deputy head teacher Trevor Boag said everyone was very proud of the gymnasts' achievement.
PE teacher Karen Martin said three of the girls had also won individual medals at the event.
She said: "It was a very close competition across the age groups."
