RYEDALE schoolchildren have tried to keep high and dry with their latest drama production.
The Norton County Primary pupils have been working alongside drama graduate Kirsty Bray, exploring how the floods affected people's lives and businesses in Malton and Norton.
Kirsty, 22, said: "It's a community drama project and we have been finding out about issues that the children wanted to look into.
"They did some workshops after school, talking about what people went through.
"We looked at newspaper cuttings from the time and talked to residents who had had their own homes flooded."
She added: "The project has been all about the whole drama process, and how things have developed to the final performance."
The nine and ten-year-olds will be performing their sketches on Monday at 7pm at the school.
