"WHAT a response to our paint a character competition!" exclaimed Ian Hughes of Terrington post office and internet cafe.
He called upon the villagers - old and young - to paint and portray Terrington characters. Results have now gone up in the stores.
"The children have all come along now to vote. Everyone is coming in to vote on the winner. Even visitors who don't know the people we have portrayed here have been voting."
The cafe at Terrington has been a pull in other ways. Two cafe rooms with a couple of internet connections are a tranquil way to watch Terrington pass by, says Ian.
Votes are being cast until the end of September.
