Aislaby United gained revenge for their 6-1 mauling in the Gordon Harrison Memorial Trophy final last season with a 3-1 win at home to Kirkdale United last Saturday.
They took a deserved lead after 20 minutes when the Kirkdale defence failed to clear and Will Emms pounced to score from six yards. Ten minutes later, James Harland scored his first goal for Aislaby with a ten-yard shot. Kirkdale, who were missing influential midfielder Ian Prendergast, responded with a couple of efforts but Martin Cook set up Kenny Temple for Aislaby's third goal just before half-time.
In the second half, Kirkdale put Aislaby under pressure but the home side's keeper, Colin Frank, kept them at bay. Only Martin Charlton found a way through with a penalty after 73 minutes. Man of the match winners were Will Emms (Aislaby) and Mark Langdale (Kirkdale).
Having lost three more players in the week prior to their game at Rosedale, troubled Union Rovers stunned the hosts by taking a 3-0 lead within half an hour. John MacLeod, after a good through ball by Brian Shepherd, Richard Abbey, and Jamie Wilkinson all hit the target for Rovers. At the other end, Union keeper Andy Hawes was in great form but John Tindall scored for Rosedale just before the break to give them hope.
In the second half, Rovers, without any substitutes, tired and Rosedale capitalised. Man of the match Tindall added a couple more to clinch his hat-trick. Chris James and Richard Wilkinson added further goals.
After a goalless first half between Old Malton thirds and Sinnington, the Sinners, kicking down the Gannock slope, scored two second-half goals through man of the match Lee Mitchell and Dan Harland. Les Swift and James Miller impressed for Old Malton, whilst Joe Turnbull and David Wilkinson put in good displays for Sinnington.
Black Swan, Pickering lead the first division after a 2-1 win at Duncombe Park. After making five changes from the previous week's line-up, Swan started slowly and Park took a deserved lead after 18 minutes when Liam Ogunshakin set up Craig Newton to head home. Just before half-time, Swan equalised. Simon Dale crossed for Steve Sailes to score with a powerful far post header. Swan got the winner after 71 minutes when Mark Ainsworth flicked the ball to Simon Dale to lob the ball home. Man of the match winners were Craig Newton (Park) and Tom Marley ( Swan).
Reigning champions Kirkbymoorside reserves opened up their account with a 2-1 at newly-promoted Amotherby and Swinton. Amotherby's Laurie Thackray and Kirkby's Phillip Butler had to referee a half each after the scheduled referee failed to show due to a late work commitment. Nicky Hodgson scored in the first half to give the Moorsiders the lead, but Sam Thackray thought he had earned his side a point with an equaliser with three minutes left. Kirkby player/manager David Smith had other ideas though and scored a winner 30 seconds from time. Man of the match winners were Curtis Smith (Amotherby and Swinton), and Nicky Hodgson (Kirkbymoorside reserves).
Second Division
Pickering Royal Oak are the second division leaders after a 3-2 home win against relegated Slingsby, who went 2-0 up with a penalty by Neil Foster after 10 minutes and a goal from Nigel Allen after 34 minutes. But Mike Connell got Oak back in the game with a superb 25-yard shot and Terry Davison scored a fine equaliser to set up a grandstand finish. Oak's Damon Cox scored the winner with a header three minutes from time after excellent work by Davison. Man of the match winners were Terry Davison (Oak) and Andy Hawes (Slingsby).
Thornton-le-Dale won 2-1 at neighbours Ryedale SC reserves. After a goalless first half, in which Dale's Jonathan Scoble had a penalty superbly saved by Matty Gardner, Dale took the lead after 50 minutes when Mike Lealman scored after good work by Mark Shepherd. John Reed was the key man for Ryedale.

Bull's Darren Beattie pulled one back on 68 minutes but Coxwold held out for the three points. Man of the match winners were Dan Varley (Black Bull) and debutant Matthew Duckworth (Coxwold).
Heslerton reserves were full value for their 4-2 home win against Ampleforth. Heslerton took an early lead through Daly Preston. Ashley Cooke set up Matty Cass for Heslerton's second. Former Pickering Town favourite Dave Hornby gave his side a three-goal lead before the interval.
