RJF Homes Beckett League Division One: Kirkdale maintained their 100pc league record with a 3-2 win at Pickering Royal Oak to take over as first division leaders from Sinnington, who were on cup duty.

Oak created the better chances early on but had no goals to show for it. Kirkdale took the lead against the run of play through Ian Prendergast after a well-taken free-kick. Within minutes, Oak's Alex MacRae should have equalised but James Thompson saved well. Chris Simpson increased Kirkdale's lead before half-time.

Kirkdale appeared to have the points in the bag when Prendergast scored his second after 60 minutes and Oak's Lee Allardice was sent off. But Oak came back with goals from Nick Wilkinson and Daman Cox, after fine work by Adam Hornby. Men of the match were Oak's Adam Hornby and Kirkdale keeper James Thompson, who made several outstanding saves.

Rosedale remain third after drawing 1-1 at home to a Kirkbymoorside reserves side which included a few first-teamers, whose game had been called off. The Moorsiders took the lead after 18 minutes through Andrew Ferguson. Rosedale left it until the 91st minute before equalising. Ben Adamson floated over a free-kick which the Moorsiders' keeper failed to catch and Rosedale man of the match Stewart Dowson scored with an unstoppable 20-yard shot. Aaron Rivis and Daryl Rivis were the pick of the Kirkbymoorside line-up.

Thornton-le-Dale doubled their points tally with a 5-1 home win against Old Malton thirds. Mike Lealman was the Dale hero, grabbing four goals against his former team. Will Dunnett was also on target for the home side. Tom Payley hit Old Malton's consolation.

Duncombe Park beat Black Swan, Pickering 2-1 at home. Jack Colman scored in the first half before combining with man of the match Andrew Souter to set up Matt Dzierzek for the second. Swan replied with a goal ten minutes from time.

Heslerton Reserves go top after beating Carlton United 2-0, leapfrogging Union Rovers. An own goal and one from Wayne Pilmoor, who started in goal but came out for the last 20 minutes, gave Heslerton the points. Pilmoor was replaced by regular keeper Gareth Driver, who was back after a lengthy injury.

Coxwold remain third after beating Slingsby 1-0 and could be an outside bet if Union Rovers or Heslerton slip up. French debutant Benoit Filar got the goal after 60 minutes. Men of the match were Stuart Peirse (Coxwold) and Mark Foster (Slingsby).

Ryedale Sports Club gained their first league win and doubled their points with a surprising 1-0 win at Gillamoor, thanks to a fifth goal in five games by man of the match Sean Dixon. Jodie Robson won the award for Gillamoor.

Bagby and Balk were beaten 8-4 at home to Ampleforth. Kevin Stockill (2), man of the match Damian Turner (2), Dave Wallinger (2), Colin Casey and Kevin Wright found the target for the visitors.
