CHILDREN at Langton Primary School built up an extra big appetite for their Christmas party food last week by working out with Freddy Fit.
Fitness promoter Rob Loft, who holds workshops in schools based around a cartoon character called Freddy Fit, was invited to take part in Langton's festive fun because the children had enjoyed his last visit so much.
So before the children tucked into their Christmas treats, they took part in a series of exercises, including aerobics to music.
The workshop also emphasised the importance of keeping fit, healthy eating and drinking water.
Headteacher Anne Myers said: "The children had a thoroughly good time. They had fun but learned at the same time. I'm sure we will welcome back Freddy in the future."
