ANOTHER big cat sighting has been reported, this time on the B1246 between Pocklington and Barmby Moor.
A couple driving out of Pocklington at about 9pm on Monday saw a large black cat walking along the side of the road towards them. When it was about 200 yards away, it stopped, momentarily looked at the car and then turned, leaping across the road in two bounds.
According to the information supplied by the British Big Cat Research Group, the animal was jet-black, about four feet long and with a tail almost as long as the body.
It was said to have a blunt, squarish head.
