Derwent: WHAT a week it's been for the club, firstly a highly informative tour of "The Gun Room", Barthorpe Grange, given by proprietor Rob Hall and fire arms

officer Paul Duffield.

Braced with a wealth of knowledge on professional shooting, and how to become involved, an excellent night was had by all members, generous thanks all round.

To the weekend, and a great weekend for all concerned at the club. Firstly, our fundraising "muck huck" event held around Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Our dedicated team managed to raise an impressive £119 for the club. Thanks to all those who supported our cause, to the Liversidge family for the muck and to Robert Headley for the use of his equipment.

Around the same time in Scarborough, Derwent's very own "Call My Bluff" team were representing Yorkshire in the Northern Area Competitions.

The team did extremely well, tickling the audience silly and narrowly missed out on a top placing, finishing fourth by a mere two points.

The weekend was capped off by the "Motion by the Ocean" dance held at the Spa complex on Saturday night.

Those of us who managed to beat the hangover, attended Snainton YFC's well organised ploughing match on Sunday.

Huge thanks to all members on their fantastic achievements, you did us proud.

On March 2, a business meeting was held for the members to decide which competitions they wanted to do for the forthcoming rally.

The domino drive has been rearranged for Tuesday, March 22, at Fadmoor village hall, 7.30pm start. All are very welcome.
