A YOUNG performer will be entertaining crowds up and down the country after securing a contract with Haven Holidays.

Ryan Swain, of Norton auditioned with hundreds of other hopefuls to join this year’s team of entertainers who will work at the company’s holiday camps.

The 19-year-old, who suffers from Attention Hyperactive Disorder, channelled his energies into entertaining.

“I was always the comedian and class clown at school telling jokes and everyone seemed to love it,” said Ryan.

After leaving Norton College, Ryan studied musical theatre and drama at Westwood Performing Arts Campus in Scarborough.

He said: “Having ADHD makes me the person I am genuine, caring, enthusiastic but most of all able to perform with energy and passion.”

Ryan will be performing a stand-up comedy show at The George in Malton today from 8pm.
