A youth concert in Ripon has raised £1,000 for projects related to humanitarian, aid, climate change, and poverty.
The Ripon Group Committee of Christian Aid organised the event at Ripon's Holy Trinity Church, and the event showcased the musical talents of youngsters from across the city.
Christian Aid group member Robert Ankcorn said: "Performers came from the Queen Mary School, Ripon Grammar School, the training arm of the Ripon City Band, and included children from the Holy Trinity Junior School.
"We had a five minute talk on the work of Christian Aid’s partners currently working in areas of great need around the world.
"And the event, just one of a number of Ripon's fundraisers this year, raised £1,000."
The funds will reportedly support projects providing emergency humanitarian aid, as well as long-term initiatives "enabling people to find ways out of poverty" and "tackle problems such as climate change and conflict."
