An East Ayton-based artist has shared details of a "whimsical advent celebration" starring her dog, Sprocket.
Illustrator Sarah Westwood will, from December 1 through to Christmas Eve, unveil a brand-new illustration each day on her social media channels which will capture Sprocket in "cosy, festive scenes" at various local landmarks, businesses, and community spots.
An advent zine, featuring all 24 of the illustrations in the series, will also be made available in a limited edition of 50 copies.
Fifteen per cent of profits from the sale of the advent zines will be donated to Yorkshire Coast Dog Rescue.
Ms Westwood said: "With Sprocket as my muse and constant companion, this project is a love letter to Yorkshire, its people, and the festive season.
"I would love fans nearby to join in the festive fun by snapping photos of themselves at the featured landmarks or businesses, or posing with their own pets, and sharing them with the hashtag #SprocketsAdvent, as each week, one lucky person will win a festive print of one of the enchanting illustrations, spreading a little more holiday joy."
The advent zine can be pre-ordered online at www.sarahwestwood.co.uk
Previews will also be made available at local Christmas fairs, as follows:
Yorkshire Coast Makers Fair, Scarborough, November 30, 10am until 4pm;
Slingsby Christmas Fair, December 1, 11am to 3pm;
Saltburn inspired Christmas market, Saltburn Community Hall, Redcar and Cleveland, December 7, 10am to 4pm;
