Four people have been arrested in connection with a murder investigation in York.
As The Press reported, a man in his 20s from the Bradford area died in hospital after police were called to an incident at a home in the Haxby Road area on Saturday night.
A woman and man were also injured. North Yorkshire Police today (Monday, November 25) said the man is in a stable condition in hospital.
The force said a man in his 20s and a man in his 30s, both from the York area, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
A woman in her 30s and a man in his 60s have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
“They have all been taken into custody where they remain today as the investigation proceeds,” a police spokesperson said.
A scene guard remains in place at the address in Vyner Street and there will continue to be a “significant police presence in the area”, they added.
Numerous police vehicles swooped in Vyner Street, at its junction with Haxby Road, at about 7.20pm on Saturday night.
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is also reported to have landed near the scene.
Residents were reportedly asked by police not to leave their homes or look out of windows while the incident was ongoing on Saturday night.
