THE impact of ‘slow moving’ Storm Bert is still being felt across North Yorkshire - despite a brighter and drier start to Sunday.
According to predictions from the Met Office, today is likely to be warmer and brighter but will still remain windy.
This follows snow, wind, and heavy rain brought to the region yesterday by Storm Bert.
Whilst there will be some outbreaks of rain, this will begin clearing eastwards through the morning leaving brighter and largely dry conditions in its wake.

Temperatures will be above average, with a maximum temperature predicted by Met Office of 16 degrees.
Despite the drier weather, water levels in the Ouse are currently rising and are currently predicted to peak at 3.91 meters at around midday on Monday morning before gradually beginning to fall.
At this level, property flooding is likely in York.
Some transport links across the region are still affected, with police offering advice last night for road users to take extra care when travelling.
A spokesperson for the Met Office said; “Storm Bert is quite slow moving and only really clears from Monday. The start of the week will continue to be unsettled, with strong winds and showers in the forecast.
“Although temperatures will be around average for most places, strong winds mean it will feel rather cold.”
