Peacocks and poultry have been seized by police in North Yorkshire.
The county’s force said officers found the birds on November 14 in an unusual location in the Marton cum Grafton area and were concerned for their welfare.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “They are currently safe and are being well cared for.
“We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances and in particular, we are appealing for information regarding the identity of the owners of the poultry.”
“If you are missing poultry including peacocks, bantams and some farmed brown hens, please get in touch.”
