The family and friends of Victoria Taylor gathered at the side of the River Derwent to pay tribute to 'an amazing sister, auntie and doting mummy.'

Candles and flowers were left near to where the 34-year-old's possessions were found.

A Go-Fund Me page has also been set up to support her partner and family.

Victoria, known as Vixx, had been missing since October 1.

Officers said a body had been recovered from the river on Tuesday.

Tributes paid included: "What an amazing turn out yesterday was in remembrance of our beautiful Vixx. Thank you all that came and laid flowers and candles.

"Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. For the comments, for the shares for the likes. My beautiful sister was shared far and wide. We can now find peace and eventually the shock will subside. North Yorkshire Police, well I am eternally grateful. The community came together and today showed how much our she was loved."

"She will always be remembered, lots of happy memories from her growing up here. It never went unnoticed that she was certainly an amazing sister, especially big sister, an absolute fab auntie and a doting mummy."

Vixx's close friend Charlotte, who started the Facebook page to help in the search for her, has now set up a Go-Fund Me page.

She said: "Unfortunately on October 22 we all received the news that absolutely broke her family and the community in which she was so loved by. I'd love to be able to raise some money together to support Vixx's partner and family in paying for her funeral and having some money set aside for her partner and little girl. Every little donation made helps towards this and will be appreciated more than you know. Many many thanks."
