A vodka brand co-owned by Ricky Gervais is hosting a competition for Yorkshire bartenders - with a £5,000 cash prize up for grabs.
Dutch Barn Vodka, created by North Yorkshire's Ellers Farm Distillery, is challenging keen mixologists to craft a new cocktail using their vodka.
The winning entry to the MotherDutching Mixologist Competition 2024 will be shared on Ricky Gervais's Instagram page, giving one Yorkshire-based bartender exposure to the comedian's 4 million-strong following.
As well as a £5,000 cash prize and the Instagram exposure, the winning bartender will receive two VIP tickets to Ricky Gervais's newly announced Mortality Tour, along with other goodies.
The runner-up will receive 2 VIP Mortality Tour tickets, as well as a bottle of Dutch Barn Vodka signed by Ricky Gervais.
To enter, bartenders must register their details at https://dutchbarn.com/pages/yorkshire-mixologist-competition-2024 and post a picture of their cocktail on Instagram, tagging @dutchbarnvodka with the hashtag #YORKSHIREDUTCHER2024.
Registration closes on Friday, October 4, and the more posts that are made, the more chance there is of winning.
Dutch Barn Vodka’s expert team will visit the top 30 bars to personally taste the entries and select ten finalists.
The finalists will then be invited to compete for the £5,000 prize in person during a head-to-head grand finale.
