Shopping bags which were left outside a store in York have been stolen, police have said.

Officers said it happened at 12pm on August 17, outside the Morrisons Daily in Gale Lane.

"The victim left heavy bags of shopping outside while she went into the store. While she was inside, the bags were stolen," the force added.

"Please contact us if you recognise the man pictured on CCTV, as he may have information that will assist our investigation."
