A primary school near York is celebrating the end of a refurbishment with a York MP.

Naburn CofE Primary School is holding an open evening to celebrate its new adventure playground and library, to be opened by York Outer MP Luke Charters.

At 3.15pm on Thursday (September 26), the school is inviting all children, parents and carers to come and see the improvements made to play areas and learning environments.

The school joined the The Education Alliance Multi Academy Trust last October, and welcomed its new headteacher Kate Durham in February.

Chair of Governors, Anne Clark, said: "Naburn School provides a stimulating, creative, challenging learning environment where children feel safe and secure with a strong sense of belonging.
