Ryedale Lions Club has held another highly successful charity golf day at Kirkbymoorside Golf Club.
Held on Friday, September 6, 40 teams of four golfers took part on the day when the sun shone, the wind dropped and temperatures in the low 20s were enjoyed.
The competition was fierce with only seven points separating the top 10 teams.
Lion Andrew Mansfield, who organised the event, said: "The Golf day is our second biggest fundraising event in our calendar and it is fantastic to be able to do this whilst giving everyone involved a great day out. There was a lovely atmosphere throughout the day as everyone really enjoyed all aspects of the event. Ryedale Lions Club members and their wives did a tremendous job aided by friends and families and I would like to thank them all "
Lion President, Will Oxley, said: "Another amazing Golf day with the weather, the Golf Club, Ryedale Lions and partners, our many sponsors and the competitors all contributing to a fantastic atmosphere and event. Looking forward to seeing everyone, and more, again next year."
The total raised at the Ryedale Lions Charity Golf Day was just under £7,000 which will all be used to support individuals and organisations in need within our local community.
