A CHILD had to be cut free from a stair gate in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service say they were called at 8.45am today (September 19) to a property in Acomb.
A service spokesman said: "A crew from York responded to a report of a child who had got their leg stuck between the bars of a stair gate.
"Crews used bolt croppers to cut the top of the gate, releasing the child’s leg.
"Advice was given to a responsible person."
