A fine-dining restaurant at a country estate just outside York has been nominated for a for a top award.

The £3million Chartwell restaurant at Aldwark Manor Estate opened in May, with head chef Chris O’Callaghan.

Now, less than five months later, the 24 cover restaurant has been shortlisted for the Best Boutique Hotel Restaurant Award at the Boutique Hotelier Awards.

The awards celebrate excellence across the UK hospitality industry., with Chartwell noted for its exceptional culinary experience, elegant ambiance, and commitment to providing a memorable dining experience for both hotel guests and visitors alike.

The winner will be announced at a ceremony in London on October 15.
