Staff at Derwent Practice in Norton are all ready to start the 2024 flu season.

A spokesperson for the surgery said: "Each year NHS prepares for the unpredictability of flu. For most healthy people, flu is an unpleasant but usually self-limiting disease with recovery within a week. However, there is a particular risk of severe illness from catching flu for older people, the very young, pregnant women, those with underlying conditions and those who are immunosuppressed.

"Clinics will be running on Saturdays and through the week from October 3. There will also be an opportunity to have your covid booster when we will be co administering on the Saturday clinics and some week days.
