Crews are currently at an incident involving a grain dryer silo near Helmsley.
The crews from Helmsley, Kirbymoorside and Malton responded to 10 tonnes of grain smouldering inside the silo at 5.49am this morning (Tuesday).
Crews used a hose reel jet with a lance attachment to direct water to the heat source to dampen down hotspots and extinguish the fire quickly. This incident is still on going.
