A NORTON-based business has taken the best of Yorkshire to Emmerdale.

The Original Baker made a special visit to ITV Studios in Leeds on August 1, bringing a selection of their renowned baked goods to the cast and crew of beloved Yorkshire soap, Emmerdale.

A spokesperson for The Original Baker said: "Yorkshire-made pies and pasties aplenty, they made sure no one went hungry as the Yorkshire Day celebrations commenced.

"The Hog Roast Roll, handcrafted from tender pulled pork, juicy Bramley apples, and tasty sage and onion proved particularly popular, with ITV staff delighting in its crispy crackling topping.

"Another crowd-pleaser was the Chili Jam Pork Pie, featuring tender pork and smoked bacon topped with sweet chilli jam and encased in a golden, hot water crust pastry. Attendees were so impressed, they made multiple purchases of the award-winning product to enjoy at home.

"The Original Baker takes immense pride in its Yorkshire roots, sourcing key ingredients from local suppliers, including flour milled in Driffield for their signature pastry, and utilising time-honoured recipes and traditional techniques in their production.

"Seeing ITV staff and well-known TV stars thoroughly enjoying their artisan goods was a true delight for everyone involved."
