Why are there so many people against nature and law in this county? Not for the first time, and not the only one I know who does this, I did my bit for my community and environment by collecting litter as I did a local walk this morning.
The walk is normally 3.5 miles in length, but with all the criss-crossing of the road I had to do, it logged as 4.6 and it is so frustrating when 90% of what I picked up is recyclable if disposed of appropriately.
I picked up at least siz large bottles of alcohol (drink driving?), numerous energy drink and alcohol cans, packaging from takeaway meal deals when the nearest stores are 5+ miles away, and multiple crisp packets.
People should not only “drive with care” through this AONB, but also with true respect for the environment and the majority of the local population who do.
