Police are urging motorists to avoid the westbound carriageway of the A64 near the Designer Outlet following a traffic accident.
It happened earlier this morning just before the A64 slip road onto the A19.
Emergency services are on the scene.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We advise to avoid the area and take a different route for a short while until emergency services clear the road."
