A local car retailer has helped people get into the festive spirit early with a generous donation.

Ray Chapman Motors Malton, on Seven Street, loaned one of its most popular models, the Volvo XC90, to Malton, Norton and District Lions, for their annual village sleigh tour.

This is the tenth year that Ray Chapman Motors has sponsored the charity’s trip, and the second year in a row in which they have provided the vehicle to pull Santa’s sleigh, offering a safe and modern alternative to give Rudolph a well-earned rest.

The tour, which lasted for over two weeks, saw Santa start his journey in Malton, before finishing in North Grimston.
