YOUNG dancers at a Norton-based school are celebrating a string of successes.
Dance Expression has secured a junior dancer team for the Grand Opera House Pantomime in York after auditions a couple of weeks ago.
UK Productions chose Dance Expression and one other York school to provide the dancers for this year's pantomime - Robinson Crusoe and the Pirates of the River Ouse
Eight dancers, aged between seven and 12, will take place in the panto.
Anna Baggaley, who runs Dance Expression with her sister Lucy, said: "We also attended That's Showbiz Leeds heat competition last Sunday and all of our group dances. Juniors, Intermediates and both Senior, made it through to the semi-finals in Blackpool at Winter Gardens."
"Our senior dance "Don't Even Know It" won the highest mark and first place in our category of the competition. and adjudicators choice award.
"They also won the ultimate prize of the day, the golden key which takes us straight to the grand final.
"Both our senior group dances were awarded the highest marks of the competition which meant that Dance Expression were the winning school for the Leeds heat.
"We are over the moon with their success and the kids are so excited."
