Setrrington Bowls Club recently marked their 50th anniversary of flat green bowling with a friendly match against Helmsley Bowls Club.
The celebration continued with a buffet tea that featured a specially made anniversary cake.
This momentous event took place earlier in the season, which spans from April to September, and was graced with perfect weather.
The match saw Helmsley emerge as comfortable winners, although the spirit of the game remained high.
John Harrison, the chairman and a founding member of Settrington, delivered a heartfelt "thank you" speech, detailing the club's history and its establishment by a group of local residents.
Setrrington Bowls Club welcomes new members, and their information can be found on the Batagas Ryedale Bowls League website.
