This year's Ryedale Festival is set to be a fun-filled experience for the whole family, with events taking place in Malton, Scarborough, and York from July 23-25.
Concerteenies is a lively and interactive performance aimed at children aged 3-7.
Narrator Polly Ives and harpist Louise Thomson will bring to life Arree Chung's charming tale Mixed, with the help of projected images and original music by Paul Rissmann.
Both children and adults will have the opportunity to participate and immerse themselves in a relaxed environment that fosters a love for music.
Following each Concerteenies performance, Ives and Thomson will also be hosting a magical musical experience for pre-crawling babies and their grown-ups.
The concert will feature a mix of classical, folk, world, popular music, and nursery rhymes.
Attendees can sit back, relax, listen, or even sleep while enjoying sensory elements provided.
They will also have the chance to learn simple baby massage techniques.
This is a free event for babies and promises to be an enchanting experience for the entire family.
Concerteenies – A Musical Story will take place July 23 at 11am in the Milton Rooms, Malton.
The baby-friendly concert will follow at 1pm in the same location.
The event will then move to Scarborough Library on July 24, and to the National Centre for Early Music in York on July 25.
Tickets for both Concerteenies performances and baby-friendly concerts in Scarborough and York can be purchased at https://ryedalefestival.com
