The Annual Slingsby Duck Race and Family Fun Day, an event that has been running for over 30 years, is set to take place this month.
Organised by Friends of Slingsby School (FOSS), the event on Saturday July 15 aims to raise money for the village primary school.
The festivities will be held at Slingsby Sports Field, situated next to the village church.
Families can look forward to a wide range of activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting, Beat the Goalie, tombola, and raffles.
To satisfy hunger pangs, Andrew Pern of The Star at Harome will be in charge of the BBQ.
The event will run from 1am to 3pm, with the highlight being the duck race at 2pm.
Those with the fastest ducks will have the chance to win exciting prizes, as awards will be given to the first three ducks that cross the finish line.
Entry to the event is free for all attendees.
However, those who wish to participate in the duck race can sponsor a duck for £2 each or opt for a bundle of three ducks for £5.
Duck sponsorship can be arranged prior to the race day at various events or directly from Slingsby School.
Parent Katharine Pope said: "This wonderful event has now been running for over 30 years.
"Come along and join us for a fun packed day and help us raise funds for our local school."
