Drivers in and around Ryedale will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.
And one of them is expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing a wait of between 10 minutes and half an hour.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that twoclosures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A64, from 9.30am May 2 to 3.30pm July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Hopgrove to Seamer, mobile lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance works.
• A64, from 8am June 5 to 6pm July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington to West Knapton, traffic signals for boundary wall repairs.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks: • A64, from 8pm June 19 to 5am June 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Brambling Fields, slip road closure for sign works, diversion route in place via Highways England and Local highway authority roads.
• A64, from 8pm June 20 to 6am June 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 westbound, Malton to Pickering, carriageway closure for carriageway works, diversion via local authority and National Highways networks.
• A64, from 1.30pm to 6pm on June 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Scampston, lane closure for event off network.
• A64, from 9.30am June 26 to 3.30pm June 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Staxton, lane closure for utility works.
• A64, from 8pm July 3 to 6am July 12, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A64 eastbound, Claxton to Whitwell, carriageway closure for carriageway repairs, diversion in place via National highways and local authority network.
• A64, from 9pm July 3 to 6am July 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound, Musley bank to Pickering, Lane closure for general cleaning and maintenance.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
