Top comedian Lost Voice Guy hosted a successful evening at the Milton Rooms in Malton to help to raise funds for local charity Acorn Community Care.

Lost Voice Guy (real name Lee Ridley) is a Britain’s Got Talent and BBC New Comedy Award winner. He was born with cerebral palsy and is unable to speak, but communicates with the audience through a tablet computer and really came to prominence in 2018 when he won the 12th series of TV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Ali Cashmore, Events & Marketing Manager at Acorn Community Care, said: "The evening was attended by well over 100 people and the feedback we had from the event was excellent. The first comedian, Pete Selwood opened up the show and caused much hilarity with a bit of audience participation.

" Lee Ridley followed and was fantastic. The room was full of laughter and he got a huge round of applause. Lee very kindly signed a lot of autographs after his act. The night was finished off by the band Mojo Catfish and the dancefloor filled up nicely with people wanting to dance the night away. Incidentally, Mojo Catfish are back at the Milton Rooms on September 28. Too sum up, it was a fantastic evening and all of the proceeds go to our wonderful charity, Acorn Community Care."Acorn Community Care is based on an eight-acre farm in Norton providing care and support for people living with learning and physical disabilities through a wide range of activities on offer based at the farm.
