There were no Covid deaths recorded over the latest weekly period in Ryedale.
The latest figures from the UK coronavirus dashboard show a total of 164 people had died in the area by May 18 – which was unchanged from on the week before.
York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals Trust was caring for 68 patients with Covid in hospital as of May 31, figures show.
NHS England data shows the number of people being treated in hospital with Covid by 8am on the day was down from 79 on the same day the previous week.
The number of beds at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust occupied by people who tested positive for Covid decreased by 37 per cent in the last four weeks – 28 days ago, there were 108.
Nationally, the number of hospital patients with Covid has decreased by 39 per cent in the last four weeks, while the number on mechanical ventilators has decreased by 38 per cent.
The figures also show that 20 new patients with Covid were admitted to hospital in York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the week to May 29. This was down from 33 in the previous seven days.
