A popular author is to visit a bookshop in Pickering.

Matson Taylor will visit Pickering Book Tree, Market Place, on Thursday, May 18, for a talk, Q&A, and book signing event.

He is the author of ‘The Miseducation of Evie Epworth’ and ‘All About Evie’.

The Miseducation of Evie Epworth is a coming of age story set in the summer of 1962 in rural East Yorkshire, and was chosen for both the Richard & Judy Bookclub and the BBC Radio 2 Bookclub.

All About Evie is set ten years later and charts the messy end of the 1960s and the choppy beginnings of the 1970s.

The author is originally from Yorkshire and now lives in London, where he works simultaneously as a novelist and design historian.
