Fire crews were on the scene at a kitchen fire in Ryedale.
Both fire appliances from Malton responded to the fire in Wharram-le-Street yesterday (April 25) at 5.57pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire caused damage to the cooker and kitchen cabinets.
They said: “Fire crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel and then dismantled kitchen units checking for hot spots.
“Cause of the fire believed to be a fault in the fuel supply to the cooker.”
